Bark Tanning Leather would be a multi-weekend lesson.
1st weekend: Fleshing, Washing, Liming, Unhairing, De-liming, Puering/Pickling.
2nd Weekend: Tanning, Tannin Penetration, Bark Liquor, Bark Harvesting.
3rd Weekend: Drying, Dressing, Softening, Finishes & Sanding.
Due to the nature of bark tanning, it takes a bit more time than usual tanning methods when working with goat or deer hides. Nonetheless, you would be more than welcome to camp out for the night each weekend. I’m going to experiment & see if I can speed up the tanning process to the point where it only takes 3-4 days for hides to tan. If not, it will have to be a multi-weekend course. :)
