This hide is from a younger red deer which was hunted, not farmed. So it had some holes open up where there are score marks & a bullet hole. Nonetheless it’s extremely soft & is a thinner hide.
Softened with a combination of plant extract lecithin & olive oil, then tanned/smoked with punk wood I harvest myself from a local forest. These hides have been frame softened so that the hide comes out nice & flat. All my hides pass the needle test, meaning that they are excellent quality for bead working, let alone for garments.
